This 1920s neo-Romanian classical building includes niches and bay windows that allow for useful nookings of beds, libraries and seating. The uneven sides of the niche are levelled by the dynamic grid of the shelving with inward and outward protrusions. Occasionally, a monolithic volume allows for clothing storage. The bay window is chromatically differentiated to suggest a nook for the bed. Cascading planting frames the bedroom entrance corner. The two apartment bedrooms are masked by 3m-tall CNC’d beech wood doors with a topographic pattern allowing grip. In the living room, very small and outsized furniture in the living room emphasizes the room’s height.
